1 Year Anniversary!!!!!! + The Future of This Blog

On January 6, 2015, I made the decision to start blogging. Out of that came my first ever review, Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, which definitely wasn't my best review. But that 1 review kick-started the rest of my reviews and grew my blog into what it is today.

Now, on my 1 year anniversary of this blog, on January 6, 2016, I can proudly say that I've written 56 reviews! I participated in 3 readathons, posted a couple of giveaways, and even had the amazing opportunity of getting to know a couple of amazing authors!

This past year has really been an amazing experience for me and has exposed me to many new things that I never thought possible before. I'm so grateful for all the people who have read my posts and reviews, even if it was only once. And for those of you who have come back, I thank you too. If this is your first time reading anything on this blog, welcome! I just wanted to say that I appreciate every single person who took the time to read a review or post I wrote, even if you never finished it. Knowing that people out there have read something I wrote is encouraging and helps motivate me to keep up this blog 🙂

Now, as it is the beginning of 2016, I wanted to make a couple of changes. I've tried in the past to make discussion posts, but those have never really felt as comfortable for me. Maybe it's this platform, or maybe I just don't know how to write discussion posts like that.

But starting in 2016, this blog will mainly host reviews of the books I read as the year passes by and readathon goals and wrap-ups. I feel like posts like these are a little more manageable for me, and they seem to be better received by you guys. So, because I want to put out content that you'll like, I'm going to keep on writing reviews for every book I read on here.

If you want to see more diversity in content, like tags, hauls, Top 5 Wednesdays, other bookish topics, AND stuff about TV shows, then feel free to check out my BookTube channel for more things like that.

Lastly, as you can tell, I've changed the name and appearance of this blog. I figured that since it's the new year, I would give my blog a bit of a makeover with a color aesthetic that I really love. Now, that may mean that a few links won't work, so if you come across a link to a former review that doesn't work, you can just go to the tabs above and find the book there. But apologies for those links not working. And as for the name, well, I'm not going to stay a teen forever, seeing as I turn 19 this year. Yes, it's a bit of a change, but I'm quite happy with it and I hope you are too 🙂

Wrapping this all up, I just wanted to say again that I'm so incredibly thankful for every person who clicked on a link to one of my posts. Whether or not you realize it, you've all been a part of a very special and amazing experience for me, one that I hope to continue 🙂

Happy New Year!
